Dancers
Stephanie K. Beall
is
a performing artist/company member with Psophonia Dance Company and
Suchu Dance Company, in Houston, TX. She
recently debuted in her first Hopewerks performance for
choreographer Tapley Whaley, through Hopestone, Inc. As
a Sam Houston State University 2005 Dance Alumni, she is active in
the dance community in Houston and Huntsville. Stephanie
has had the opportunity to work with choreographers from all over
the U.S. including Elijah Gibson, Joy Kellman, Melissa Wynn, George
Carlos, Dana Nicolay, Kista Tucker, Sophia Torres, Sonia Noriega and
Jennifer Wood. While
with Psophonia, Stephanie has been able to perform for the Discovery
Series at the Hobby Center and Young Audiences of Houston for
various ages of elementary children around the city of Houston & the
Cincy Fringe Festival in Cincinnati, OH; in addition to the
company’s regular season shows. Other
than dancing with Psophonia and Suchu, she is on the Board of
Directors of Rednerrus Feil Dance Company. Stephanie has been with
Psophonia since 2006.
Jessica
Nicole Prachyl grew up with a love for dance under the direction of
Kathryn Cousin. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sam Houston State
University in the spring of 2008 with a BFA in dance, where she
trained with Dana Nicolay, Jennifer Pontius, Jonathan Charles Smith,
and guest artists Hilary Bryan, Jean Denny-Grotewhol, and Joy
Kellman. She briefly served as a trainee with Ad Deum Dance Company,
and has performed as a guest artist with Kista Tucker Dance, Inc.,
and Psophonia Dance Company. Jessica is currently in her second
season with Suchu Dance. This is her first season with Psophonia
Dance Company.
Tory
Pierce, originally from The Woodlands, is working towards her B.F.A.
in Modern Dance at the University of Houston. Tory has performed
with the University's Dance Ensemble and has had the opportunity to
perform in the Big Range Dance Festival in both Houston and Austin.
She is excited to be in her first season as an apprentice with
Psophonia .
Marielle
Perrault began her dance career in Ohio where she trained at Ballet
Met. She holds a BFA in Dance Performance from Southern Methodist
University where she performed the works of many renowned
choreographers, such as Eleo Pomare, Paul Taylor, and Robert Battle.
Moreover, Marielle studied under celebrated dancers from a variety
of modern backgrounds, including April Berry (Alvin Ailey Company),
Nina Watt (The Limon Company), Ruth Andrien (Paul Taylor Company)
and Myra Woodruff (Martha Graham Company). While the stage feels
like home for Marielle, she also has a deep passion for
choreography; staging six new works since 2008. Marielle also loves
teaching kids where she turns bun-heads into head-turners! This is
Marielle's first season with Psophonia Dance Company.
Patty
Solórzano (Houston, TX) graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors from
Texas Christian Univeristy in 2009. She received her early training
with Beatriz Amelio in Mexico, and has also studied at the Royal
Academy of Fine Arts (Houston, TX) and the Joffrey Ballet School
(NYC). Most recently she has studied with TCU faculty and guest
artists, and at the American Dance Festival (Durham, NC), and Ballet
Concerto (Fort Worth). Patty has performed in works by Fernando
Bujones, Susan Douglas Roberts, Li Chou-Cheng, Kristi Weindorf, and
Sarie Mairs Slee. Patty currently teaches at Chara Christian Dance
Academy in Friendswood, TX and at McWhirter Elementary. She is so
grateful and excited to perform with the wonderful and dedicated
Psophonia Dance Company. Patty would like to thank God and all who
have supported her in pursuing her dreams!
Annie
Longley was first bitten by the dance bug in high school where she
served as a member of the Clear Lake High School Falcon Flairs drill
team. In college she cheered on the University of Houston Cougars
all the way to the Liberty Bowl and after which she danced with the
University of Houston Dance Ensemble while earning a dance minor.
Through this pre-professional company she worked with Houston
choreographers such as Jennifer Wood, Karen Stokes, Theresa Chapman,
Jackie Nallett, and Toni Valle. During this time she also performed
with the UH Young Audiences Touring Company. Annie has been a member
of Psophonia Dance since the fall of 2009 and has performed with the
company at Spacetaker's events and Young Audiences.
Kendall
Kramer began her training with the Minnetonka Dance Theatre and
School in Minnesota, where she also taught ballet and creative
movement. Her early career included roles in the Minneapolis Fringe
Festival and the Studio 2A Project, and her choreography was
accepted three times into the Regional Dance America festival. She
later trained at summer intensives with Alvin Ailey, the San
Francisco Conservatory of Dance, and the Craft of Choreography
Conference. Kendall holds a B.F.A. in Dance Performance and a B.A.
in Spanish from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. Kendall
currently teaches dance in the Houston area and is thrilled to be a
new member of Psophonia! |
